Apparently, the woman went with a female friend to meet her boyfriend Randhir Singh Sandhu aka Lucky, who was staying at Santokh Singh Sukh’s residence, to resolve their fight.

Allegedly, on the pretext of taking her over to meet Lucky, Singh seated her alone in the car. Stopping at Rohi Bridge, he allegedly forced himself on her at gunpoint and threatened her with dire consequences if she disclosed anything.

However, Santokh Singh Sukh, who is a renowned politician in Punjab, believes this is a targeted conspiracy by rivals to defame him. He claims that the rape accusation is baseless and he has CCTV footage to prove his innocence. He has taken to social media to further add that he’s ready to accept hanging as punishment if he’s found to be even 1% percent guilty.

He has also requested the public to not target his children. Shehnaaz Gill and her brother, Shehbaz who are currently quarantined in Mumbai, do not plan on travelling to Punjab right now. But they support their father and have rubbished the rape allegations against him.
