Mental illness doesn’t discriminate and targets people alike! Many Indian celebrities have fallen prey to problems like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Some stars like Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma proactively took steps to identify and overcome the problem, even while dealing with a lot of personal and social backlash, while some succumbed to the darkness.  

Here’s a look at some celebs who struggled with dealing with mental illness:-

Even super successful stars like Deepika Padukone can fall victim to the darkness of depression. But the Padmaavat actress sought professional help for her mental health and opened up to her fans about the daily struggles of having to live with the condition. She even established The Live, Love Laugh Foundation to help other people fight this trauma as well!
