On 14th June, sunday afternoon, actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment. The Police conducted an investigation to ascertain the cause of death. Althought the family of the late actor suspect an involvement of external parties, the Police ruled out foul play as the postmortem report confirms the cause of death, suicide. The news was even confirmed by Additional Commissioner of Police, Dr Manoj Sharma.
Treatment
The ‘M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ star was diagnosed with clinical depression and was put under medication for several months. He was being treated at Hinduja Hospital. However sources mentioned that Sushant had not followed up with this medication schedule and skipped the intake.
Day of the incident
Sushant’s cooks’ statements mentioned how he had followed a regular routine the whole morning after waking up at 6:30 am. Nothing unusual was suspected but the actor abruptly went into his bedroom at around 9:30 am post his morning juice intake. However, when one of the cooks knocked on his door to inquire about his food, he did not respond. They immediately informed his sister Mitu Singh and upon her arrival, they called a key maker into the home at 1:30 pm. When the door unlocked, they were headed for a shock as they witnessed the misery. An ambulance was immediately called for as they called Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh and informed him about the incident.
Tested negative for COVID-19
Before the postmortem was performed, the actor’s swabs were taken to make sure that he wasn’t infected with the corona virus. As the COVID-19 test turned out negative, the doctors went ahead with the postmortem.
Sushant’s brother-in-law O P Singh, who is the Additional Director General of Police and is also posted as Special Officer in the Haryana Chief Minister’s Office, is intent on a deeper probe to obtain more insights on the unfortunate demise.
Jan Adhikar Party Chief Pappu Yadav let out a statement as he pays a visit to the 34 year old talent’s family. He says, “Sushant Singh Rajput has been murdered, he cannot commit suicide. I demand CBI inquiry into the matter.”
Hearing from ANI News Mumbai, we learnt that Sushant’s maternal uncle states, “We don’t think he committed suicide, police must investigate the matter. There seems to be a conspiracy behind his death. He has been murdered.”
Postmortem results
After the completion of the postmortem, the police cleared out that the death was caused by asphyxiation when the actor hung himself in his bedroom with a green kurta. It was a clear case of suicide.
