Some Survive, Some Don’t -Raveena Tandon on ‘Mean Girl Gang’,’Camps’ and ‘Dirty Politics’ in Bollywood!

The film industry and the nation alike have been left reeling in shock from Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on 14 June 2020. The 34 year old actor died by suicide from hanging in his Bandra residence. Reportedly, he was suffering from depression for some months.

Along with an outpouring of condolences and heartfelt eulogies by Bollywood celebs, the social media is buzzing with the issue of nepotism with hashtags like #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput, #BoycottFakeStars trending!

Adding her two cents to the insider vs outsider topic that is currently raging, Raveena Tandon took to Twitter to express her opinion. Recounting her experience in the film industry the actress said that ‘mean girl gang’, ‘camps’ and ‘dirty politics’ do exist in Bollywood.

She talked about how she herself had been removed from films by actors and their girlfriends and fallen prey to career-destroying fake media reports. And how some people can survive the politics but some don’t.

In another tweet, she elaborated that on speaking the truth, one’s hard work can be ruined by being branded as a ‘liar’, ‘mad’ and ‘psychotic’ by ‘Chamcha journos’.

Raveena also shared that this can happen to an ‘insider’ as well since these dirty politics happen everywhere. But one should fight back harder.

The actress concluded on the note that while she loved the industry, the pressure is high and there are all kinds – good people and those who play dirty. But one has to pick up the pieces and walk with their head held high!
