There are lot of speculations surrounding Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide. Reportedly, the 34 year old actor was clinically depressed. Fans seem to believe the narrative going around, that this drastic step may have been triggered because he was removed from films and struggling to keep his career afloat.

Politician Sanjay Nirupam had tweeted that Sushant had reportedly lost 7 films in 6 months!

However, it appears that the actor had quite a few projects on his platter and was not struggling financially. From Anand Gandhi’s Emergence, Anand Kumar’s biopic on Bhaichung Bhutia and Rumi Jaffery’s rom-com, he had interesting work in the pipeline!

Talking to Deccan Chronicle, Rumi Jaffrey revealed, “I was disturbed by some news channels insinuating that he had no work and was depressed because of that. He was doing my film!”

An anonymous source shared with Pinkvilla, “Sushant had enough work to keep him busy till next year-end. He had signed two films and was in advanced talks for another three projects. People who are claiming he was out of work are completely wrong.”

The source also revealed that the Kedarnath actor was in talks with Aanand L Rai too for an exciting project! The Raanjhanaa Director wanted to collaborate with him since he loved Sushant’s work in all his films.

“When Aanand came across a script which perfectly suited Sushant, he had met him and narrated it to him. The actor loved the idea and had even verbally agreed to do it.”

They were planning on taking it forward once the lockdown was lifted, but then Sushant’s sudden, tragic demise has left Aanand L Rai heartbroken!
