Kicking off his Bollywood career in 1991, Akshay Kumar has come a long way since he marked his debut in 1991 with the movie, Saugandh.

But did you know Akshay was all set to make his Bollywood debut with the movie “Phool Aur Kaate” instead? Owing to nepotism, he was replaced by Ajay Devgn one night before the shoot was scheduled to start!


With the heated discussion about the existing Nepotism in the industry, a Twitter user shared a video where Akshay Kumar was talking about his early days in Bollywood. The actor spoke about relationship with Ajay Devgn, and the story behind his first film where he was replaced overnight.


The Laxxmi Bomb actor said, “I was in Phool Aur Kaante.” As he was cast for the lead role in the movie the actor actively engaged in the making of all the songs, the photoshoots, etc. Talking further, Akshay revealed that the night before the shoot, when he was preparing for his first day of the shoot, he received a call where he was told about being replaced. He was told, “Bhai aap mat aana.”
