Confirmed: Nikhil Dwivedi plans a Film on the Controversial Life of Mamta Kulkarni

From raising the hotness bar of a movie to getting herself involved in an alleged drug racket, Mamta Kulkarni’s life has been a movie in itself.

Now, we hear that Veere Di Wedding producer Nikhil Dwivedi is planning on making a film based on this Bollywood sex siren’s life. Nikhil has also bought the rights to Bilal Siddiqui’s book, ‘The Stardust Affair’ which is loosely based on Kulkarni’s life.

In an exclusive by Pinkvilla, a source discloses that Dwivedi will be investing in this project. “Nikhil has acquired the rights to Bilal Siddiqui’s book, The Stardust Affair which is loosely based on the tumultuous and eventful life of Mamta Kulkarni.”

“Her life and journey is something that almost everyone is aware of, right from being a Bollywood star to becoming a ‘godmother’ to allegedly being Dawood Ibrahim’s girlfriend, Mamta Kulkarni has always been in the headlines. The book will serve as the base for Nikhil’s next production and the producer will release an official announcement once all the formalities are complete,” continues the source.

Along with allegedly being Dawood Ibrahim’s girlfriend, Mamta Kulkarni is no stranger to such controversies. A couple of years ago, the former actress was also an accused in a 2,000 crore INR ephedrine drugs haul case.

However, she released a statement saying, “I have never engaged in any act contrary to the principles of Indian statutes and am a victim of high-handedness, crude, unprofessional and unethical conspiracy by the officers of the US’s Drug Enforcement Administration and the Thane police.”

Kulkarni is now settled in Kenya and is apparently is on the path of spirituality as she has found a home there, in Nairobi.
