Manikarnika actress Kangana Ranaut has opened fire on Twitter against actresses Swara Bhaskar, Taapsee Pannu and Richa Chadda post Sushant Singh’s demise.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Kangana made a statement saying, “when you talk about Swara Bhaskar, Taapsee Pannu or Richa Chadda, I understand they have bills to pay for their house; everybody is not and doesn’t want to live the kind of life I aspire. So, I do understand where they’re coming from and there are a lot of pressures.“

Earlier, in a TV interview, Kangana had lashed out on Taapsee and Swara labelling them as ‘B grade’ actresses and ‘needy outsiders’.
To the initial statement and in reference to the B grade comment, Taapsee took to Twitter and reacted pretty quickly tagging Swara and Richa. She says, “Hi Richa Chadha, Swara Bhaskar someone is really concerned about our bills n our EMIs. Such a kind compassionate industry. So much respect for our ‘B grade’ struggle.”
Kangana had also called Taapsee and Swara ‘chaaploos (sycophant)’ and Taapsee has yet another reply to the remark. Again, raising the Twitter war bar higher, Taapsee tweeted, “Now I’m getting confused. So is my existence coz of nepotism as mentioned earlier by her or coz of her. I need clarity coz I wanna be clear who I am grateful to “ a needy outsider wants to know !” “
By the looks of it, Taapsee certainly has been active as she replied to a tweet sent out by a troll wherein the Twitter handle spoke against Pannu in support of Kangana. To that, Pannu replied with a screenshot of Kangana’s response in light of Jiah Khan’s demise. The screenshot was of a report by The Indian Express where Ranaut comments, “Depression is a disease which should be treated like one. When a person chooses to take a step like that it is irrelevant what made them do it.”
Taapsee replied with a tweet of her own saying, “Get the inquiry started, request the police , CBI , FBI and every agency that can help unearth the truth. Also along side help us all unearth how the logic behind suicide, depression and the reason behind that changes when it’s Jia Khan to when it is SSR.”
A Twitter user by the name Susruta Mukherjee lauded Taapsee and Swara for taking a stand against hate without being hateful. She says, “History would remember Taapsee and Swara as people who stood up against hate without being hateful. Two actors who could’ve easily stayed silent like most of their colleagues while their country was being divided by a dictator, but chose not to.”
To that Taapsee replied saying, “Before that there is someone trying to use divide n rule policy in the film industry. Yes there are differences between ppl born with pedigree n the ‘outsiders’ but we aren’t battling each other we are battling for a BETTER SYSTEM TO CO-EXIST not by mud slinging n name calling!”
