In addition to Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, Home Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh has confirmed that Kangana Ranaut, Mahesh Bhatt and Karan Johar have been called into questioning by the Mumbai Police.
The three Bollywood biggies have been in this case’s spotlight for increasing debates on nepotism and the insider vs outsider argument.
On Sunday, the 26th of July, the Home Minister revealed that at least 37 people have been questioned and that Bhatt, Ranaut and Johar’s manager are next. Apparently, Mahesh Bhatt will record his statement in a couple of days while officials have been sent to Kangana Ranaut who is currently not in Maharashtra but is at her home in Manali.
News agency ANI tweeted the Home Minister’s statement yesterday saying, “Statements of 37 people recorded so far, Mahesh Bhatt to record his statement in a day or two. Summons sent to Kangana Ranaut to record her statement. Karan Johar’s manager has been called, if needed, Johar will also be called: Maharashtra Home Minister on Sushant Singh Rajput case.”
