Sushant Singh Rajput family’s lawyer Vikas Singh has accused the late actor’s roommate and friend Siddharth Pithani of being a ‘dubious’, ‘intelligent’ criminal, saying there’s complicity between him and Rhea.
Vikas Singh said that until FIR was registered by SSR’s family, Siddharth talked to them regularly and tried to help them. But the moment FIR was registered, he started helping Rhea Chakraborty.
In his statement to ANI, Vikas further elaborated that Siddharth helping Rhea when she’s named accused in the case shows complicity.
“The way he has behaved after registration of FIR, the way he is writing email to Rhea when she’s a named accused. Helping a named accused in this manner shows complicity between Rhea and him. It is only upon custodial interrogation that the real truth will come out.”
As per New Indian Express report, the lawyer has also raised some serious questions in the case which can be answered through proper investigation only.
“There are several unanswered questions as far as the death of Sushant Singh Rajput is concerned. Why was the door of his room not opened immediately if there was an urgency to see what is inside the room? What was the hurry to open the door and lower the body when his sister was 10 minutes away,“ he said.
“Mumbai Police has not looked into how this suicide took place. There was no stool. He was on the bed. The moment strangle would have happened he would have automatically come back to the bed. These are very serious questions and can only be answered through a proper investigation,” he added.
Siddharth Pithani, has been questioned twice by the Enforcement Directorate.
As per IndiaToday report, he was asked to submit his financial statements and Income Tax records. Pithani was asked to submit income tax returns for the past 5 years, his bank statements from January 2020.
