Kangana Requests Govt to take KJO’s Padma Shri back

Earlier, Kangana Ranaut had declared that she would return her Padma Shri award, if she failed to prove her claims about Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise.

Now, the actress who’s always engaged in a Twitter war with someone or the other has lashed out at Karan Johar. Team Kangana Ranaut has requested Govt to take back KJO’s Padma Shri.

She has accused Karan of openly intimidating her and asking her to leave the industry on an international platform, conspiring to sabotage Sushant’s career, supporting Pakistan during Uri battle and making an anti-national film against Indian Army.

In March 2017, at the London School of Economics Karan Johar had said that Kangana should quit film industry if she felt so wronged by it: “You cannot be this victim at every given point of time who has a sad story to tell about how you have been terrorised by the bad world of the industry, leave it.”

Previously, Kangana had congratulated KJO when they were announced as Padma Shri recipients in January 2020.

As per Hindustan Times report, Kangana had said – “I heartily congratulate him. I think he totally deserves this award. As a producer, the kind of films he backs, whether it is Kesari or Good Newwz, are commendable, as is the position he has worked to achieve. Even though his father gave him a head start, he has risen to the top because of his own efforts and merits.”
