Rhea Chakraborty’s 14-day judicial custody was to end today, after her arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau on September 8.
However, Rhea and Showik’s judicial custody has been extended and they are to remain in jail till October 6. Both of them have applied for bail in Bombay High Court today.
Apart from Rhea, and her brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant Singh Rajput’s personal staff members – Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda, as well as Zaid Vilatra, have also been sent to judicial custody till October 6.
As per India Today report, Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said – “Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty have filed an application for bail in the NDPS Case in the Bombay High Court. It is coming up for hearing on September 23, 2020, before Justice Sarang V Kotwal. The details of the bail applications will be shared after the hearing on September 23.”
