Director Milap Zaveri confirmed that the shooting will first begin with the main cast and the others will join in later. He said, “On the first day, we will shoot only with the lead pair, but subsequently, other actors like Harsh Chhaya, Gautami Kapoor, Shaad Randhawa, Anup Soni, and Sahil Vaid will join in.”

We will be shooting across Lucknow, including at heritage structures like palaces and colleges. Some of the live locations will be completely sealed off, so crowd gazers cannot sneak in. Only our cast and crew will be present on the spot,” he added.

The director plans to shoot the action sequence on the streets of Lucknow and has given a virtual tour of the locations to John Abraham and they are both excited about it.

Producer, Bhushan Kumar of T-series is aware of the consequences that shooting on the street might invite but he believes that the  SoPs will create a safe shooting environment. He says “It will be scary for the crew at live locations, but it is important to give our audience some entertainment during this pandemic,”

He added “When we decide to take a franchise forward, we have to be ready with larger-than-life stories and characters. This script is a notch higher and Milap has worked rigorously on the action scenes with John during the lockdown.

The movie was initially to be shot in Mumbai but the director, Milap Zaveri believes that Lucknow would be an appropriate location to shoot Satyameva Jayate 2 and therefore decided to relocate the shoot there.

Milap Zaveri also believes that the shift of location will give the film a pan-India appeal and reach out to viewers in every part of the country. Also, John’s Varanasi roots will come in handy.

It’s a franchise that celebrates the victory of good over evil and that’s a perfect recipe for Eid. Plus, there’s lots of action, drama, and dialoguebaazi,” Milap concluded.

However, the team will shoot some scenes in the Mumbai studio as well in 2021.
