Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani’s latest movie, initially called ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ and now know as ‘Laxmii’, is still facing a lot of backlash from netizens on religious ground.
The producers of the film – Shabinaa Khan, Tusshar Kapoor and Akshay Kumar, decided to change the title of their film recently.
However, even after these developments were made, the audience expressed their unhappiness saying that this title change wasn’t really a good change.
#Laxmii had been trending on Twitter and hate tweets continue to be thrown at the actors and the film’s makers. The new title ‘Laxmii’ of the movie has also been called out for allegedly promoting Love Jihad and a section of netizens say the makers haven’t corrected that.
Laxmii is set to premiere on 9th Nov on Disney+ Hotstar VIP. Disney+ Hotstar presents, Laxmiii, produced by Cape of Good Films, Tusshar Entertainment House and Shabinaa Entertainment.
