Since its announcement, Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’ has been creating headlines.
While this supernatural action flick is high on VFX, fans are curious to know the budget of this star-studded movie.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the total budget of this Ayan Mukerji directorial movie is way more than Rs. 300 crores. Yes, you heard it right!
During a media interaction at Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2020, Uday Shankar, Chairman of Star and Disney India, revealed that ‘Brahmastra’ could possibly be the biggest Indian film ever made.
Asking about the rumors of the movie being made on a budget of RS. 300 crores, Shankar refused to give out the exact amount but he revealed, “Just to tell you, it is way more than that.”
He further added, “Any movie like that, the experience that it seeks to create, needs to straddle across everything. It cannot be denied that most intense experience that only a theatre can generate.”
Last year in March, Ranbir and Alia went to Kumbh Mela on Mahashivratri to launch the logo of ‘Brahmastra’.
Earlier, there was a buzz that Disney+ Hotstar was eyeing for this movie to have an OTT premiere. However, the producer, Karan Johar, has declined the offer.
