Bollywood Heartthrob Sidharth Malhotra is all set to essay the role of a RAW Agent in his next film.
On Wednesday, he took to Instagram to officially announce the movie ‘Mission Majnu’ and unveil his first look poster!
Set in the 1970s, Mission Majnu is an espionage thriller inspired by true events. It will tell the story of the “deadliest covert operation undertaken by India’s intelligence agency behind enemy lines (Pakistan)”.
Telugu actress Rashmika Mandanna will be making her Bollywood debut opposite Sidharth Malhotra. The film is also the directorial debut of award-winning ad filmmaker, Shantanu Bagchi.
Sidharth Malhotra said it was a privilege to play a RAW Agent in an official statement – “Mission Majnu, a patriotic tale inspired by true events, celebrates the hard work of RAW agents who go out of their way to protect the citizens of our country. It is a privilege to tell the story of our brave agents, and I am eager to revisit a mission that forever changed the relationship between India and Pakistan. I am looking forward to sharing this special film with everyone.”
Mission Majnu is being co-produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and Guilty By Association, and will go on floors in February 2021.
