After 13 years, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious project ‘Heera Mandi’ is all set to see the day of light.
This Alia Bhatt starrer movie will supposedly be revived as a Netflix movie.
The period drama, which would be directed by SLB’s assistant Vibhu Puri, will reportedly feature some of the strongest and most powerful actresses from Bollywood. Yes, you heard it right!
As per the latest Bollywood Hungama reports, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Deepika Padukone, Parineeti Chopra, Manisha Koirala, and Vidya Balan are in talks for this movie. Guess what? These actresses are almost on the verge of being finalized.
“Sanjay is personally doing the casting. Though officially his former assistant Vibhu Puri is going to direct Heera Mandi, SLB’s stamp will be evident in every frame,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.
While ‘Heera Mandi’ will reportedly say the story about the hidden culture of the red-light area in the walled city of Lahore, the movie supposedly focuses on the women who lived there and had sex with others because it was their job.
