TV heartthrob Parth Samthaan’s Bollywood debut is being eagerly awaited by his fans.
Speculation was rife that he would be stepping onto the big screen opposite Alia Bhatt.
But it looks like fans of the jodi are gonna be disappointed. It was being reported that Alia Bhatt and Parth Samthaan would be romantically paired for Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty’s Piharwa. However, the actress has turned down the project owing to lack of dates.
A source told Bollywood Hungama – “She is struggling to complete her three films on the floor and not signing anything new until she sorts out the dates issues among Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, Rajamouli’s RR and Ayan Mukerjee’s Brahmastra.”
“Resul did ask Alia about this project. But she turned it down without a second thought. Ek toh Resul is not directing it. One of his assistants is. If Resul had been directing it, Alia may have considered it. Right now, Alia is too consumed by her three films on the floor to get into a project she isn’t fully convinced about,” the source further added.
We are wondering ….. where does that leave Kasautii Zindagi Kay actor Parth Samthaan‘s involvement in the project? He is reportedly yet to be officially signed on.
“He suits the role: he is a nice boy and a good actor; I like him, but we are yet to sign him on. The producer is talking to him; he is under consideration,” Resul told TOI.
Piharwa is set against the backdrop of the 1967 India-China war and will revolve around the life of Major Harbhajan Singh who got martyred. Let’s wait and see what the final casting of the movie ends up as.
