How exciting is this? Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda are all set to break the industry with their upcoming film.
The film was initially titled ‘Fighter’ but now, the makers have selected a much apt name for the same.
Karan Johar took the liberty of sharing the exciting news with fans as he posted on Instagram the first-look of the film and also revealed the new title.
As noticed in the Instagram post, the film is now titled ‘LIGER’ and the first-look is a quite fierce one. Vijay is seen in the avatar of a boxer striking a power-packed punch. The actor is wearing martial arts’ gloves and his hair is made to look dishevelled in a fight. In the background, the combined faces of a lion and tiger can be seen. The film’s complete title is, ‘Liger: Saala Crossbreed’.
As for other great news, Liger will be released on the silver screen in 5 languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam. The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh.
As per a DNA report, Ananya had said, “I have yet to meet someone so grounded and humble despite being such a huge star. He is kind and soft-spoken.”
Panday also spoke about her character saying, “My character is quite like the real me. I think young girls will be able to relate to her cute, funny and charming personality. I am working on my Telugu too, learning a few words every day on the set. I will try to dub for myself in as many languages as possible.”
