SS Rajamouli’s period action flick ‘RRR’ is one of 2021’s highly anticipated releases.
The two male leads, Ram Charan and Jr NTR are essaying the roles of revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem respectively!
Set in 1920’s pre-independence era, it is a fictitious story of two legendary freedom fighters. RRR stands for Roudram Ranam Rudhiram in Telugu, Raththam Ranam Rowthiram in Tamil and Rise Roar Revolt in Hindi.
To lend the project pan-India appeal, Bollywood stars too have been roped in for the project. Ajay Devgn will be playing the role of a mentor to Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s characters, while Alia Bhatt will be seen as Sita, Ramaraju’s love interest.
On Monday, the makers revealed the official date of the movie’s release – 13th October 2021.
Alia Bhatt had joined the film’s shoot in Hyderabad last month. She will be making her debut in Telugu cinema with this role.
