Talented new-age actress Sanya Malhotra has successfully created her own space in Bollywood.
The Dangal girl Sanya was last seen in Anurag Basu’s anthological Netflix movie ‘Ludo’.
Sanya’s last two movies, ‘Ludo’ & ‘Shakuntala Devi’, both opted for a digital release. ‘Ludo’ was released on Netflix, while Vidya Balan’s ‘Shakuntala Devi’ premiered on Amazon Prime Video.
Now, as per Bollywood Hungama, the ‘Badhaai Ho’ actress’ upcoming slice-of-life comedy movie titled ‘Pagglait’ will be releasing on Netflix.
“Pagglait was completed somewhere in February 2020, just before the lockdown. It’s a slice-of-life comedy and the makers feel it’s apt for an OTT platform. Hence, they decided to release it on Netflix,” a source revealed to the web-portal.
The OTT giant is reportedly planning to release ‘Pagglait’, in which Sanya plays the solo lead for the first time, in the next two months only.
This Umesh Bist directorial also features Sayani Gupta, Sharib Hashmi, Ashutosh Rana, and Sheeba Chaddha.
This movie is produced by Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures.
On the work front, Sanya has SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment’s ‘Love Hostel’, co-starring Vikrant Massey & Bobby Deol, and the Netflix movie ‘Meenakshi Sundareshwar’, opposite Abhimanyu Dassani, which is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions in her pipeline.
