International Pop icon Rihanna extended her support to the ongoing farmers’ protest by asking “Why aren’t we talking about this?”
Immediately, the tweet went viral and even celebrities like Youtuber Lilly Singh and famous activist Greta Thunberg showed solidarity with the farmers.
In response to social media frenzy surrounding the matter, Ministry of External Affairs issued an official statement slamming the reactions of international celebrities with the hashtags – India Together, India Against Propaganda.
After staying silent on the farmers’ protest till now, Bollywood Biggies like Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar and Ajay Devgn have now come out in support of the Centre.
