Bollywood celebs Kareena Kapoor Khan & Ranbir Kapoor’s cousin Armaan Jain has landed in legal trouble.
The actor cousin made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’.
On Tuesday, when Rajiv Kapoor’s demise news broke, Armaan Jain’s Altamount Road residence in South Mumbai was apparently being raided by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
As reported by Mumbai Mirror, ED summoned RK & Bebo’s cousin Armaan on Thursday (today) in connection with the Tops Group case after being investigated by the agency.
According to the reports, Armaan’s mother Rima Jain, late Rajiv Kapoor’s sister, was allowed to leave the residence to see his late brother, but Arman wasn’t.
The raid supposedly continued for hours, post which, Armaan was permitted to join his family at the funeral.
An India Today report stated that Armaan’s name cropped up when ED was investigating Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik’s son Vihang in the money laundering case.
Armaan & Vihang are apparently close friends. Reportedly, Vihang has already been questioned twice and ED had also taken information from his mobile.
ED had reportedly found suspicious communication between Armaan & Vihaang and, thus ED conducted a raid at Armaan’s residence.
Meanwhile, according to ANI, the actor failed to appear before the agency today.
For the unversed, In November last year, ED officials had conducted searches at the office and residence of Sarnaik in Thane, following which his son Vihang was questioned regarding the alleged exchange of funds between Sarnaik’s close aides and officials from the Tops Group.
