The biopic on legendary poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi is in the news again.
This project has been in the offing for almost eight years now.
According to earlier reports, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was planning to make this movie either Abhishek Bachchan or the late actor Irrfan Khan.
Now, as per the latest ETimes report, this much-delayed project has landed on the table of SRK’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment.
However, it is not known yet if SRK will play the lead or not. Well, fans would love to see him in this biopic.
Earlier, in 2019, reports were doing rounds of SRK headlining the Sahir Ludhianvi biopic with SLB. But the actor denied all such reports back then.
For the unversed, the writer-director of Sahir Ludhianvi biopic Jasmeet Reen has struggled a lot for this project. Before SLB, ‘Ghost Stories’ & ‘Kaalakandi’ fame Ashi Dua apparently came on board to produce this biopic.
Earlier, Farhan Akhtar, Abhishek Bachchan, and late Irrfan Khan’s name came up at different points of time to play Sahil Ludhianvi’s role in his biopic.
March 8, 2021, will mark the legendary poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi’s 100th birth anniversary.
Meanwhile, SRK is currently busy shooting for ‘Pathan’. As per various reports, SRK, Deepika Padukone & John Abraham starrer ‘Pathan’ will hit the theatres on Diwali this year.
