One of the greatest Indian music maestros and Academy Award-winning composer, A. R. Rahman, is all set to step a foot into production.
Rahman is going to make his debut as a producer with the musical film ’99 Songs’.
99 Songs is set to be released soon on the 16th of April, 2021. The film will release in three languages – Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. A. R. Rahman will make his debut as a producer and co-writer while director Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy makes his Bollywood directorial debut. Rahman’s film has also given us a new talent to look forward to – Ehan Bhat, who makes his debut in this movie opposite actress Edilsy Vargas.
“As part of my production company, YM Movies, I’m happy to collaborate with Jio Studios in bringing together this experiential movie. ‘99 Songs’ is about one man’s struggle against the old and the new world. And the antidote is music. It’s my pleasure to introduce the film’s director Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy and a talented cast comprising Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas.
