BREAKING: ‘Mahabharat’ Fame Satish Kaul PASSES AWAY!

If you’ve watched BR Chopra’s Mahabharat, then you would know Satish Kaul, who played Lord Indra.

The veteran Punjabi-Bollywood actor passed away today evening at the age of 73.

The actor, who featured in over 300 Punjabi and Hindi films, breathed his last at Ludhiana due to Covid-19 complications.

Sharing the sad news on Twitter, Ashoke Pandit, president of IFTDA, wrote, “Sad to know about the demise of well-known actor of Hindi & Punjabi films Satish Kaul in #Ludhiyana due to #COVID19 . He was unwell since a long time . Heartfelt condolences to his family & near ones . !”

As per Kaul’s sister, Satya Devi told The Indian Express, the actor was admitted to a city hospital after he developed a fever six days ago. 

“He had fever for the last five-six days and wasn’t keeping well. So, on Thursday, we admitted him to Shri Rama Charitable Hospital here and then we learnt he had tested positive for coronavirus.”

The late actor had won the “lifetime achievement” award for his contribution to Punjabi cinema at PTC Punjabi Film Awards in 2011.

Satish Kaul has worked with Bollywood actors like Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar, and Shah Rukh Khan, amongst others. His notable roles include ones in Sassi Punnu, Ishq Nimana, Suhag Chooda, and Patola.
