Legendary Bollywood filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s iconic movie Chupke Chupke completed 46 years today.
This superhit comedy-drama was released in 1975.
The classic movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bhaduri, Dharmendra, and Sharmila Tagore, amongst others.
Today morning as Big B remembered the movie on its 46th anniversary, he shared a picture from the sets and shared an unknown interesting fact about the house in the background. The picture also features his wife & co-star Jaya Bachchan.
Did you know the house, which was used in the backdrop, is his present lavish bungalow ‘Jalsa’? Yes, you heard this right!
Sharing the still, Big B wrote, “’Chupke Chupke’ our film by Hrishikesh MUKERJI.. closing today at 46 years ..!! This house you see in the picture is Producer NC Sippy’s house .. we bought it , then sold it , then bought it back again .. rebuilt it .. this is our home now JALSA !! Many films were shot here .. Anand, NamakHaram , Chupke Chupke , Satte pe Satta , and many more ..”
