Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput made a successful transition from television to Bollywood with his debut film Kai Po Che.
He is known for his roles in M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story, Kedarnath, Raabta and more.
If you’ve watched the 2014 Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer PK, you must have seen Sushant play the character Sarfraz Yousuf who was Anushka’s initial love interest in the film.
However, did you know that Sushant had not charged director Rajkumar Hirani at all for his parts in the film? Yes, SSR had worked for free despite having around twenty minutes of screentime.
As per a report, Rajkumar had handed him Rs 21 as a good luck sign and sent him several books on cinematography as a return gift to the late actor from his own collection.
Sushant Singh Rajput has passed away on the 14th of June last year by suicide. His sad demise had fans and members of the industry mourning. A major investigation involving the Narcotics Control Bureau, Enforcement Directorate and the police had taken place.
