It won’t be wrong to say Rakhi Sawant is back in limelight, credit goes to Bigg Boss 14.
On Monday, she thanked Salman Khan & Sohail Khan for funding her mother Jaya Sawant’s cancer treatment.
While many of you are aware of Rakhi’s story after entering into the entertainment industry, some of you don’t the struggle she’d had during her childhood days.
A couple of years ago, when Rakhi appeared in Rajeev Khandelwal’s talk show ‘Juzz Baat’, she talked about her hurdles, how she & her brother used to eat leftovers.
“My mother worked in the hospital and used to pick up the garbage strip there. We also had problems with eating and used to find leftover food,” Rakhi stated.
There’s no way to deny that Rakhi is a good dancer, but did you know that she used to get beaten by one of her family members whenever she practiced dance?
“Not just that, she also shared that whenever she used to practice dance, her maternal uncle would beat her badly. My uncle used to thrash me mercilessly. In my family, they bothered about having no food to eat, but they were bothered about a girl should not dance,” the Main Hoon Na actress revealed.
“I have been beaten so much in my life that my body is full of stitches. I bore all these just to go ahead in life,” she added.
Yesterday, a video went viral of Rakhi Sawant breaking down while sharing an update on her mother, Jaya Sawant’s health with the Mumbai paparazzi. Jaya Sawant, who has been battling cancer, underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor on April 19.
