In 2020, Disney+ Hotstar revealed a star-studded list of 7 films that are to have a grand OTT release.
While 6 of these are already out for public viewership, the last film seems to be much awaited for by the audience.
After the releases of Dil Bechara, Lootcase, Khuda Haafiz, Sadak 2, Laxmii and The Big Bull, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Bhuj – The Pride of India’ is all set to stamp its mark pretty soon. Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film is a period war drama about the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. It stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Ammy Virk and Pranitha Subhash.
As per a report, Bhuj is going to be released on the 15th of August 2021, Independence day. “The producers and Disney+ Hotstar team have decided to release Bhuj: The Pride Of India on Independence Day 2021. They feel that this is an apt time to bring this film to the audiences as it deals with a fascinating chapter of Indian history,” a source reportedly informs.
The source continues, saying, “The makers are hoping that the patriotic flavour and Ajay Devgn’s presence would surely get them record streams.”
Also to be noted, Abhishek Dudhaiya is making his feature film debut with Bhuj.
