Dharma Film On Pre-Partition?

Boman Irani’s son Kayoze Irani made his acting debut in Student of The Year and recently directed Ankahi which was widely loved by Netflix audiences.

Now, Peepingmoon has reported that Kayoze is directing his debut feature film for Karan Johar’s production house. It’s a big break for the young, talented filmmaker.

A source reveals that Kayoze’s film is an ambitious venture with a large-scale budget. It is an emotional thriller based on the pre-partition of India and Karan Johar is about will announce the casting of the main lead actor soon. Karan was currently focused on producing web content, for which he introduced 14 new young, bright, and talented filmmakers to the world of cinema. Kayoze was one of them who showed the promise of bringing magic to the screen. 

Kayoze Irani started off as assistant director for Dharma Productions’ Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012) and followed it by acting in SOTY the same year. Kayoze also acted in Youngistaan (2014) and The Legend of Michael Mishra (2016).

He was widely appreciated for his short film Ankahi for Ajeeb Daastaans this year that starred Shefali Shah and Manav Kaul. The film received great reviews from critics and the audience for its deft portrayal of familial and marital relationships.
