From amplifying calls for help, donating to starting fundraisers for Covid-19 relief, Bollywood celebs too have been helping out in this crisis.
Recently, two celebrity fundraisers were started; one by Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma and the other by Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas.
Virat-Anushka had kickstarted a campaign on Ketto with a 2 crore donation from their side. The proceeds from the fundraiser were to go to Act Grants which would then provide oxygen, medical manpower, vaccination awareness and tele-medicine facilities!
You will be glad to know that Virushka’s initiative has managed to raise a whopping 11 CRORES! (INR 11,39,11,820 to be precise)
Meanwhile, NickYanka had also launched a fundraiser with GiveIndia to help provide India some Covid-19 relief. They have managed to successfully raise 1 MILLION DOLLARS.
The couple has now raised the target to $3 million. Let’s hope they achieve that soon as well!
