Oh No! Cyclone Tauktae DESTROYS Sets Of These 3 Bollywood Films!

The cyclone Tauktae has caused immense destruction in many regions of the country and has unfortunately also been fatal to some.

Bollywood too, could not escape nature’s wrath and the strong winds of the cyclone have destroyed the sets of a couple films.

Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan, Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 have had parts of their sets destroyed before the shooting could be completed.

For Maidaan, the makers of the film had constructed an entire football stadium at Madh Island the last year. Sadly, it was the stadium itself that had gotten demolished by the cyclone.

Producer Boney Kapoor says, We had built an entire footfall stadium to shoot 8 matches in the final schedule. While we are done with 4 matches, the shoot was halted due to lockdown and now, the cyclone has destroyed our set. It’s unfortunate, but everyone is suffering in some way or another. Thankfully, there is no injury to human life.”

The sets of Gangubai Kathiawadi directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali too were destroyed. The cast and makers had just a day’s shoot left however after the damage imposed, it may be hard to complete the film on schedule. Sourced from THIS report, we have learnt that serious damage to the sets were eschewed since the area was covered with sheets.

Lastly, the sets of Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 in Goregaon was also partially destroyed by the gusty winds. A set replicating Dubai had been erected at SRPF Ground in Goregaon for the YRF film.
