Randeep Hooda Called Out For DIRTY Joke On Politician Mayawati; Removed As UN Treaty Ambassador!

Randeep Hooda has been popping up on Twitter trends and no, it’s not because of his Radhe performance.

Netizens have called out the actor for a ‘dirty joke’ that he cracked on former UP Chief Minister Mayawati, alleging that it was ‘sexist and casteist’!

Randeep Hooda’s old joke on Mayawati goes viral

The first female Dalit CM in India, Mayawati is the current leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party and hailed by many as a Dalit icon. Ever since a clip of Randeep Hooda’s old joke went viral, netizens have been asking for an apology from the Sarbjit actor and even demanded legal action against him.

The video is from 2012, and Randeep can be heard saying – “Mayawati was walking along the street with two kids, boys. There was a man who asked her, ‘Are they twins?’. She says, ‘No. He is four. He is eight’. The man says, ‘I can’t believe someone has been there twice.'”

Randeep has not yet commented on the matter. However, looks like the damage has already been done. Hooda has been removed as the ambassador of the Convention for the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals, an environmental treaty of the United Nations.

Their official statement read – “The Secretariat of the Convention for the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) has become aware of a video clip of CMS Ambassador Randeep Hooda from around 2012 that was recently posted on social media. The CMS Secretariat finds the comments made in the video to be offensive, and they do not reflect the values of the CMS Secretariat or the United Nations.”
