Aamir Khan’s iconic film ‘Lagaan’ completes 20 years today! Whoa!
The Ashutosh Gowariker directorial had even gotten an Oscar nomination (didn’t win though) and had bagged around 8 National Film Awards in various categories.
Lagaan’s national awards list goes like – Best Choreography, Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, Best Music Direction, Best Playback Singer – Male, Best Audiography, Best Lyricist, Best Costume Design and Best Art Direction.
On the movie’s 20th anniversary, Netflix, Aamir Khan Productions and Ashutosh Gowariker have come together for a special reunion titled ‘Chale Chalo Lagaan – Once Upon An Impossible Dream’. It will soon start streaming on Netflix India’s YouTube channel.
