Naagin 3 actor Pearl V Puri had been arrested on June 4 in the alleged rape case of a minor girl.
After remaining in judicial custody for 11 days, he was finally granted bail on June 15 by Vasai Sessions Court!
However, another development has made headlines in the case. As per TOI report, the victim’s MOTHER has now been named as co-accused in the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) case against Pearl V Puri.
Why is that, you ask? Well, the portal further reported that the lawyer of the minor girl’s mother said – “My client has been made an accused in the Pocso case and hence she has approached the court. The reason given was she did not inform anyone in spite of knowing about the incident so she had no option but to move for anticipatory bail and the matter has been posted for July 2.”
The lawyer Swapna Kode further updated that the victim’s mother was granted interim relief by the Sessions Court till July 2.
What do you think of this update? Previously, the phone call of the minor girl’s mother with Ekta Kapoor had gone viral; wherein the mother herself claimed that Pearl was innocent and being framed by her husband. Along with Ekta Kapoor, Divya Khosla Kumar has also been active in her support for Pearl in the case.
