THROWBACK: When Neena Gupta’s Friend Had Tried To GET HER MARRIED To A GAY BANKER Before Masaba’s Birth!

Neena Gupta’s autobiography ‘Sach Kahun Toh’ has literally become the talk-of-the-town right now.

From being pregnant out of wedlock to her marriage– the actress made some shocking revelations about her life.

In the autobiography, Neena spilled some beans on the challenges that she faced when she pregnant with her designer-daughter Masaba. For the unversed, Neena Gupta got pregnant while she was in a relationship with former West Indian cricketer Vivian Richards in the 1980s. She has raised Masaba as a single mother.

According to a Zoom report, Neena Gupta’s friend Sujoy Mitra once tried to get her married to a Mumbai-based Gay banker while she was pregnant with Masaba. Apparently, the man wanted to get married because of societal pressure.

In an excerpt of the book, Neena wrote, “I laughed them off because I didn’t feel right about getting married just to avoid controversy. I knew I would have to answer very difficult questions. Being a public figure meant that our lives, mine and my child’s, would always be up for speculation. But I told myself I would cross that bridge when I come to it. Until then, I would hide behind loose clothes for as long as I could.”

However, Neena also added how pregnancy itself is a blissful experience so she did not mind taking the journey all by herself, without a partner. “Raising a baby without the father, however, is really, really hard. It’s possibly one of the hardest things any woman has to do,” she added.

The ‘Badhaai Ho’ actress also revealed how actor Satish Kaushik once offered to marry her. He told Neena, “Don’t worry, if the child is born with dark skin, you can just say it’s mine and we’ll get married. Nobody will suspect a thing.”
