Singer Jubin Nautiyal is well known for his songs like ‘Zindagi Kuch Toh Bata (Reprise)’ and ‘Lut Gaye’ but this talented singer was once rejected by Sonu Nigam.
Jubin has participated in the X Factor show in 2011 and was in the top 25. The show was being judged by Sonu Nigam, Shreya Goshal, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Recently, an old video surfaced on the internet from the time when the singer had come to Mumbai from Dehradun to participate in X Factor show. He participated by singing the song ‘Tujhe Bhula Diya’ and it was loved by the audience.
After the performance, judge Shreya Goshal said that although Jubin’s singing needed work, it was a yes from her. Sanjay Leela Bansali said that Jubin sang from the heart, and it was a yes from him too. However, Sonu Nigam rejected him. “Meri taraf se na hain,” he said.
“I’ll try harder. Whatever you are saying, everything is right but ye mera best nahi tha. Mujhko pata hain,” Jubin replied to Sonu’s rejection.
However, Jubin moved on to the next round as it was a yes from Shreya and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
