Director Sai Kabir’s Divine Lovers was announced long back with Irrfan Khan as the lead actor but unfortunately, this could not happen due to the actor’s demise.
However, now Peepingmoon.com has reported that Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be stepping into the shoes of Irrfan as the lead actor in Divine Lovers.
Kangana Ranaut was initially offered a part in the film but had to let it go due to date issues. But now, the actress is said to be producing this film with Zarine Khan as the female lead opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Talking about Zarine, Kabir had earlier said, “Zarine fits the bill perfectly as we wanted a girl with Pathani looks. The film is an adventure comedy.”
Divine Lovers revolves around the lower-middle-class section of society and is set in the heartland of India.
Kabir and Kangana have previously worked together in Revolver Rani.
