The much-awaited spy thriller ‘Bell Bottom’ was scheduled to hit theatres on July 27.
Set in the 80s, the movie stars Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutt, Vaani Kapoor, and Huma Qureshi in the lead.
Given the current situation with no signs of theatres reopening, the release of ‘Bell Bottom’ could get postponed. If this ETimes report is to be believed, the makers may release the movie on August 13.
Raj Bansal, a leading distributor and multiplex owner from Rajasthan informed the daily, “Looking at the current situation I don’t think cinemas will fully open by July 27, so there is every chance ‘Bell Bottom’ may release on August 13.“
However, the makers haven’t confirmed anything yet. When they were asked about it, producer Vashu Bhagnani told the publication, “There is no decision taken on ‘Bell Bottom’ yet as theatres are yet to open in the country.”
Meanwhile, last year, ‘Bell Bottom’ made headlines for being the first Hindi movie to commence shooting outside India amidst the pandemic.
