Now, we hear that the production house has signed a mega-deal partnership with Netflix.
Today (September 1), Netflix India has announced its strategic multi-year deal with Excel Entertainment. Yes, Farhan & Ritesh will now produce various projects for the Netflix members in over 190 countries under their series banner- Excel Media & Entertainment.
It will commence with two web series, tentatively titled ‘Dabba Cartel’ & ‘Queen Of The Hill’.
Dabba Cartel:
According to a report, ‘Dabba Cartel’ apparently tells the story of five housewives who run a high-stakes secret cartel.
Queen Of The Hill:
On the other hand, ‘Queen Of The Hill’ is said to be about style, ambition, love, and friendship. Set in the backdrop of 1960s Mumbai, the show will chronicle the dynamic relationship between two ambitious women that will change the city forever.
Talking about the deal, Farhan Akhtar & Ritesh Sidhwani said in a statement, “Our partnership with Netflix marks a new global chapter for Excel Entertainment after 20 eventful years in storytelling. We’re excited about the opportunity to create a variety of extraordinary stories to entertain people in India and around the world. We are thrilled to begin this next chapter with Netflix.”
