Yesteryear actress Saira Banu– late actor Dilip Kumar’s wife– was rushed to the ICU after allegedly suffering a minor heart attack.
She was reportedly admitted to Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital 3 days ago due to ‘chest congestion’.
As reported by ANI, the 77-year-old was hospitalized after she complained of blood pressure-related issues and was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) today (September 1).
Now, according to the latest TOI report, the veteran actress is out of danger. However, the actress is said to undergo angiography soon.
Saira Banu’s cardiologist- Dr. Nitin Gokhale has informed the daily that it is a case of left ventricular failure that will be cured but before operating, they need to control her diabetes.
Late Dilip Kumar & Saira Banu’s family spokesperson Faisal Farooqui had earlier revealed to The Indian Express that the actress was apparently under a ‘lot of stress’ after the demise of her husband Dilip Kumar and it had taken a toll on her health.
Meanwhile, while talking to ETimes, Dharmendra told that he spoke to Saira Ji over the phone four days back, where she had revealed she hadn’t been keeping well lately.
He further added, “I did not ask too many questions but you can understand how she must be feeling after Dilip Kumar passed away. Sab kuch khaali khaali lag raha hoga (She must be feeling the void).”
