The talented Radhika Apte celebrates her 36th birthday today.
From Lust Stories, Sacred Games, Ghoul, to Raat Akeli Hai and more…. Radhika truly is somewhat of an OTT queen.
She’s known for her penchant for strong, content-oriented roles just like our powerhouse performer Ayushmann Khurrana. Radhika and Ayushmann had come together onscreen in the 2018 hit film Andhadhun.
Did you know that they were supposed to pair up for a film earlier but Radhika ended up getting rejected for the role?
When she had appeared on Neha Dhupia’s chat show BFFs with Vogue with Ayushmann, she had revealed how she lost out on being the female lead for Vicky Donor – which went to Yami Gautam eventually. The reason Radhika was rejected for the role was her WEIGHT!
“I had gone on a holiday for a month, drank a lot of beer, ate loads of food. I told them that I’ll come back and lose it. But they did not want to take a chance. I don’t get affected by rejection at work, but the weight thing really messed with my head,” she said.
Radhika will next be seen opposite Vikrant Massey in the Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie Forensic.
