Akshay Kumar’s mother, Aruna Bhatia, breathed her last today in the morning.
The late Aruna-ji was in critical condition and was admitted at the ICU of Hiranandani Hospital, Powai.
The actor, deeply saddened by his mother’s demise, took to Twitter to share this news. In the tweet, he says, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”
Akshay was shooting in London for his next – a psychological thriller titled Cinderella (Ratsasan remake), co-starring Rakul Preet Singh.
He had returned to Mumbai on short notice after being informed of his mother’s ill health. Only recently, Akshay was thanking his fans for their concern regarding his mother.
“Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help,” Akshay had tweeted.
