With multiple movies lined up to release, Akshay Kumar is undoubtedly one of the busiest actors in Bollywood.
And, now, we hear that Akshay is all set to collaborate with Emraan Hashmi for the first time in his career.
According to a Peeping Moon report, Akshay Kumar & Emraan Hashmi will reportedly star in ‘Good Newwz’ fame Raj Mehta‘s upcoming directorial.
Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, this yet-to-be-titled comedy-thriller is said to be the Hindi remake of the popular Malayalam film ‘Driving Licence’ (2019).
“The film in question is the official remake of Prithviraj’s Malayalam hit, Driving License. Both Akshay and Raj absolutely loved the original film and decided to remake it for the Bollywood audience with some changes in the screenplay,” a source revealed to Bollywood Hungama.
The original film revolves around a misunderstanding that creates an ego clash between a superstar and a motor vehicle inspector, who also happens to be a die-hard fan of the actor.
As the report suggests, Akshay will essay the role of the superstar (played by Prithviraj), while Emraan will be seen as the inspector (played by Suraj Venjaramoodu).
The movie is said to go on floors in January next year with a start-to-finish 40-day schedule in the UK.
