SS Rajamouli’s grand period action drama flick ‘RRR’ too is set to be a theatre spectacle.
The pan-Indian magnum opus stars Ram Charan, Jr NTR , Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in prominent roles.
Set in 1920’s pre-independence era, it is a fictitious portrayal of the two legendary freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR).
RRR also marks the regional debut of both Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. Ajay will reportedly be playing the role of a mentor to Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s characters, while Alia Bhatt will be seen as Sita, Ramaraju’s love interest.
The film was earlier slated for a Diwali release this year, but now the release date has been postponed to January 7, 2022. Interestingly, RRR will be clashing at the box office with another important Alia Bhatt starrer – SLB’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, releasing on 6th January 2022.
