Priya’s next offering is the soulful Gujarati track ‘Navlakh’ in collaboration with singer Jigardan Gadhavi.
A song about faith and hope, Navlakh paints a profound picture of a child calling to his mother when he is in trouble and can’t see the light. Revealing her inspiration behind this enchanting track, Priya commented, “I’ve always been fascinated by Gujarati sahitya from childhood as I started my journey as a singer by singing in ‘Dayro’. When I heard this song on Jigardan’s YouTube channel, I instantly connected with the vibe, it brought tears to my eyes and in that moment I thought of interpreting these beautiful lyrics written by Shri Bharatdan Gadhavi in my voice.”
Talking about her experience collaborating with Jigardhan Gadhavi, Priya further added – “He is a wonderful human being and a true artist. We both share the dream of presenting our rich musical heritage to this generation in the form that they enjoy listening to.”
