While Malaika Arora is celebrating her 48th birthday today, her beau Arjun Kapoor grabbed this chance to post an adorable birthday wish for his lady on Instagram.
The two share a 12-year age gap, with Malla being 48 and Arjun being 36.
When these two love birds revealed their relationship on social media years ago, they faced several mixed reactions to this. While supporters came out and gave them all the love, there were some who were concerned about the age difference between them. Naturally, the very much ‘in love’ duo paid no heed to this and clapped back immediately.
In a 2019 interview, Malaika shared her thoughts on dating Arjun and mentioned their relationship is ‘amazing’. The actress initially wasn’t sure of getting into another relationship after her split with ex-husband Arbaaz Khan but she also wanted to be in love.
Talking about netizens’ comments on their age gap she says, “It is about two minds and hearts connecting. Unfortunately, we live in a society that refuses to progress with time. An older man romancing a younger girl is hailed everywhere but when the woman is older, she’s called ‘desperate’ and a ‘buddhi’. For people who think like this, I have just one line: Take a flying f***.”
