Shah Rukh Khan’s fans heaved a sigh of relief as his kid Aryan Khan was granted bail in the drugs bust case on October 28.
Aryan’s friend, actress Ananya Panday, too had been questioned in the case after her old Whatsapp chats with him came under NCB scanner.
Now after daughter Ananya’s interrogation, Chunky Panday’s brother Chikki Panday too has been summoned in Narcotics Control Bureau’s ongoing investigation.
Chikki was called in relation to the alleged extortion allegations levelled against NCB officials, which a Special Enquiry Team (SET) is probing. The team was formed after Sameer Wankhede was removed from Aryan Khan’s case as he was facing accusations of being involved in a 25-crore extortion racket.
As per Republic World report, SET had earlier recorded statements Ranjitsingh Bindra and Mayur Ghule, for allegedly helping Kiran Gosavi, a witness, connect with Shah Rukh Khan’s manager Pooja Dadlani. The portal stated that according to sources, Chikki Panday had allegedly provided Pooja Dadlani’s contact and hence would be questioned about the same.
However, Chikki has allegedly tested Covid-19 positive and told the Mumbai Police that he won’t be able to join the probe! Even Aryan Khan had recently skipped SET’s summon, citing fever.
