Aamir Khan–Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is undoubtedly one of the most highly-anticipated movies of 2022.
This Advait Chandan directorial is the Hindi remake of the 1994 Hollywood film ‘Forrest Gump’, which starred Tom Hanks in the lead role.
‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ also stars Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in pivotal roles. If this Peeping Moon report is to be believed, 40-year-old Mona Singh is supposedly playing the role of Aamir’s mother in this film. Yes, Mona is 16 years younger than 56-year-old Aamir.
As the report suggests, Mona doesn’t have any scenes with Aamir apparently. Mona, who reportedly has scenes with a child actor playing the younger Aamir, is said to be seen in flashback scenes only.
“Mona Singh is playing the role essayed by Sally Field in the original 1994 Hollywood classic, Forrest Gump. She plays a strong single mother who loves her son unconditionally and raises him to believe that he’s no different from anyone else despite his low IQ. It’s only through her love and strength that Laal Singh Chaddha makes a significant impact in some of the key Indian events during 1968 and 2018,” a source revealed to the portal.
‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ chronicles the story of an intellectually disabled man and his journey from India’s Independence to the present day. In the movie, Aamir, between his journey from age 20 to 80, witnesses many historic events like Emergency, the 1983 Cricket World Cup, Operation Blue Star, the Rath Yatra, and the 1999 Kargil War & more.
Mona and Aamir had previously worked together in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘3 Idiots’.
Earlier today, rumours went rife that Aamir is reportedly all set to get married for the 3rd time. After getting divorced from Kiran Rao (2nd wife) and Reena Dutta (1st wife), the 56-year-old actor is apparently tying the knot with his ‘Dangal’ & ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh, who is now 29 years old.
